Regarding extracellular vesicles (among which exosomes stand out), we have standardized different methods for their isolation and characterization by multiparametric flow cytometry, in order to study and define proteins and microRNAs as potential biomarkers, mainly applicable to the diagnosis and prognosis of autoimmune diseases and their complications.
